Creative Visionaries at 1 Poultry

JRA Director Nathalie Bergvall and Project Director Kuros Sarshar joined Hypha Studios’ latest Creative Visionaries event at 1 Poultry, contributing to a thought-provoking conversation exploring the relationship between architecture, culture, art and community.

Nathalie joined the panel alongside voices from across architecture, development, planning and the arts, including Will Jennings of Recessed Space, Ben Cross of MORE, Julian McIntosh Architects, Sennan Kelly, Curating Moments, Dreph and Vibrant Form Collective. Moderated by Ann Storr, the discussion explored why making space for culture matters in an ever-changing cityscape, and how we can create more accessible, inclusive and meaningful places for culture, work and community.

With Hypha Studios bringing creative activity into 1 Poultry, the building is already gaining new life and reconnecting with its wider civic setting - demonstrating how cultural activity can help activate existing spaces and strengthen their relationship with the communities around them.

It was a valuable conversation about the role architecture can play beyond the building itself, and how thoughtful transformation can create opportunities for culture, connection and community within the city.
