Crossing the Threshold | London Festival of Architecture 2026

Last week, we were proud to present CROSSING THE THRESHOLD at our Southwark Street office as part of the London Festival of Architecture 2026, exploring this year’s theme of Belonging.

Visitors were invited to contribute by pinning their thoughts to a collective map of London and responding to two questions: Where do you feel you belong? and What makes a place feel welcoming?

Through its interactive format, the event encouraged dialogue, reflection, and participation, celebrating connection, creativity, and community through the shared making of the city. Guests were also able to create and shape their own sections of the installation, contributing individual perspectives that became part of a larger collective model. In doing so, participants were not only reflecting on the city but actively helping to build it—creating their own city within the installation and demonstrating how diverse experiences and voices come together to shape a shared sense of place.
