Innovation Unveiled at One Poultry

JRA Director Nathalie Bergvall, Head of Sustainability Michael Macias, and Project Director Kuros Sarshar were delighted to attend the recent Commercial Retrofit Innovation Map Showcase at our ongoing project, One Poultry.

This landmark building is becoming a live testbed for cutting-edge retrofit solutions, and it was fantastic to be part of this important initiative with Fore Partnership, UKGBC, and Breakthrough Energy.

The ‘Innovation Map’ – the first of its kind – is designed to help project teams embed sustainability innovation from the earliest design stages. With over three decades of retrofit experience, JRA understands how central innovation is to making existing buildings fit for future generations – and to tackling the climate crisis.

We were inspired by insights from Basil Demeroutis, Fore Partnership; Simon McWhirter, UKGBC; and Emily-Rose Garnett, UKGBC, whose contributions highlighted both the urgency and the opportunity of rethinking how we adapt our built environment. Their perspectives reinforced the importance of collaboration across disciplines, and the showcase demonstrated how collective action can accelerate meaningful change in the industry.
