A landmark City office reimagined.

John Robertson Architects has delivered a sensitive retrofit and amenity-led transformation of 60 Threadneedle Street, a landmark office building overlooking the Bank of England in the heart of the City of London. The project reimagines the building to provide best-in-class office accommodation while respecting its prominent setting within the Bank Conservation Area.

Targeted interventions enhance the interior design, sustainability, and user experience across the building. The ground-floor arrival has been reconfigured with a new revolving entrance, improved façade, and a redesigned reception incorporating speed gates, a self-service coffee bar, and flexible lounge space. Interior upgrades introduce a refined material palette and layered lighting.

At Level 8, a comprehensive refurbishment includes a landscaped roof garden with that boosts biodiversity and connects users to the prime city views. Basement parking has been replaced with cycle storage and end-of-journey facilities, supporting active travel and workplace wellbeing.

With the refurbishment complete and Level 8 fully let prior to fit-out completion, 60 Threadneedle Street sets the standard as a best-in-class workplace within the City of London.
