JRA launches #johnremembers

As part of the London Festival of Architecture 2017, JRA is running the #johnremembers Instagram campaign, encouraging the creative community and members of the public to post their stories and photos of special places in London to win a prize.

Posts will range from local secret spaces to favourite landmarks, through to selfies and #throwback photos and everything in between, aiming to unearth the personal memories behind the architecture. Entrants will be in with a chance to win a City photography tour and have their London memories appear in a central London exhibition plus tickets to the private view.

The winner will be announced at the private view on 22nd June alongside a collection of exclusive photographs from some of the best and brightest on the design scene, cataloguing personal memories of sites across London in what promises to form an insightful snapshot of our city past and present through the eyes of those who’ve shaped it.

To take part, entrants should post photos with an accompanying 200 word memory on Instagram using the hashtag #johnremembers and follow @johnrobertsonarchitects for a chance to win, see exclusive posts and find out exhibition details. Closing date for entering is 14th June 2017.

Information for Entrants:

  • The entrant must be following @johnrobertsonarchitects on Instagram in order to be considered for the prize
  • The prize is a City of London photography tour with professional architectural photographer Grant Smith where you will be able to ask everything you have ever wanted to know on London, photography and buildings. You will also have your winning image professionally printed and featured in JRA’s exhibition and receive two tickets to attend the private view on 22nd June 2017
  • The entrant must have the right to use the photograph and text that is uploaded to Instagram under #johnremembers
  • By posting under #johnremembers the entrant grants permission for JRA to use the image and text for the purposes of the campaign and exhibition
  • Should the entrant win, s/he agrees to supply an original size digital copy of the image for the purpose of printing
  • Closing date for entry will be 14th June 2017, after this date no further entries will be considered
  • There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter
  • Multiple entries will be accepted and the competition is open to all over the age of 18 regardless of location
