Marco Fedrigo
Marco joined John Robertson Architects in 2023 as an Architect, bringing his experience in residential and commercial projects across both design and delivery stages. Throughout his career, Marco has worked on a range of project scales, always maintaining a keen interest in the relationship between architecture and its context.
Marco has a particular passion for working with existing buildings, viewing them as opportunities to unlock potential through adaptive reuse and the transformation of the existing fabric with targeted interventions.
One of Marco's notable projects includes working as a Project Architect for the transformation of Templar House in High Holborn into a flexible and modern workspace. The design focused on achieving maximum impact with minimum intervention, incorporating carefully considered infills to remodel the spaces. This approach successfully reimagined an outdated building into a contemporary environment, earning the scheme a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating.
Currently, Marco is working on the refurbishment of Daniel House, a Grade II-listed building that is part of the Peterborough Court scheme. The building, originally home to The Daily Telegraph, is undergoing a significant transformation, including the extension of an additional floor and a glazed rooftop pavilion. The project carefully retains the historic stone façades while addressing complex structural and construction challenges to meet contemporary standards.
In an era where reducing the carbon footprint is critical, Marco is proud to contribute to adaptive reuse projects that preserve the cultural and historical value of existing architecture while making it relevant for modern use.
