Stephen Morey

Project Director

Stephen is a Project Director with over 25 years’ experience. Since qualifying as an architect in 2000, he has gone on to complete a Master’s degree in Sustainability and worked on projects within the education, commercial and residential sectors. He is adept at leading teams on large scale, phased and complex projects.

Stephen has particular expertise in the design of University Learning Resource Centers and libraries. He was responsible for the remodeling of the library at the University of Warwick and ‘The Learning Grid’ - an award winning, 24-hour, flexible, collaborative learning space - also based at the university and the first of its kind in the UK. He also has Masterplanning experience at both the University of Cambridge and University of Birmingham.

Prior to joining JRA in 2022, Stephen’s other projects included Masterplanning the Northern Estate Programme for the House of Commons, a mixed-use project in Chancery Lane, and a 134-apartment residential scheme. He has led on the refurbishment of a number of historically significant buildings too. These include the refurbishment of Grade II* listed Norman Shaw South and Grade II listed Old Broadcasting House for the BBC.

At JRA, Stephen is currently Project Director in charge of Peterborough Court, a significant headquarters office building located in the heart of Fleet Street. The expansive scheme is undergoing repositioning to optimise internal areas within the existing envelope, significantly improving the building’s amenity offering and bringing it up to contemporary standards across all floors. The space will be completed by a new public/private courtyard and restaurant facilities.
