John Robertson Architects were delighted to be offered a solo show at the NLA last October. It provided an opportunity to expand on the recent success of our ‘Building on the Past, Shaping the Future’ exhibition at London’s Bankside gallery, and present a selection from our twenty year strong portfolio of architectural design.
One of the highlights of the show was JRA’s vision for The City of London’s future; an innovative master plan of the City, which capitalises on the river Thames’ architectural potential and includes it in the structural landscape.
A theme weaving throughout this exhibition was the concept of contextual civic modernism, an approach John Robertson promotes in the practice’s work and was successfully articulated here through models, drawings, and photographs.
The exhibition ran from 3rd-30th October 2013 at The Building Centre, 26 Store Street, London WC1E 7BT
