60 Threadneedle Street, London EC2
The repositioning of a mixed use office building in the City of London’s Bank Conservation Area.
Overview
60 Threadneedle Street is a prime office building located in the City of London’s Bank Conservation Area, opposite the Royal Exchange. Owned by St Martins, the building comprises retail units at ground level and offices at lower ground, mezzanine, and eight upper floors, totalling approximately 20,000 m2.
JRA is transforming the property into a premium office development through a comprehensive refurbishment. The entrance and reception area will undergo a substantial redesign to improve the arrival experience. The entrance will be significantly enhanced with new revolving doors, while a pass door will be added for accessibility. Inside, the reception area will feature a new, relocated reception desk and updated speed gates. Modern furniture, including lounge seating, a self service coffee bar, and updated planting, will enhance the space alongside an art gallery.
Cyclist facilities in the basement will be upgraded with secure bike storage, and luxury shower and changing areas featuring bespoke finishes. The eighth floor office space will be refurbished to high specification CAT A with an improved ceiling height, offering a more modern working environment. A new landscaped terrace will provide an inviting outdoor space for the office tenants.
