1 -3 Frederick’s Place, London EC2

Client: The Mercers' Company

1-3 Frederick’s Place is the second phase of the masterplan JRA has prepared for the regeneration of The Mercers’ Company’s home estate at Frederick’s Place.

JRA has completed a sensitive refurbishment and restoration of 1-3 Frederick’s Place, bringing the existing buildings back into commercial use for modern City occupiers, while respecting the historical and conservation constraints of the local area.  The project interconnects No’s 1, 2 and 3 Frederick’s Place to provide contemporary workplace within the Grade II listed buildings together with a new restaurant and a coffee shop at ground floor level and with a centralised cycle store within the vaults under Frederick’s Place.  An attractive new terrace is provided on the north side of the building overlooking St Olave’s Passage with its historic church tower by Sir Christopher Wren.
