Pizza Hut Delivery HQ

Client: YUM! Brands

John Robertson Architects captured the unique YUM! Brands’ style for the fit out of Pizza Hut Delivery’s headquarters in St Albans. The new offices span 950m2 and have been implemented across two floors within a serviced office space.

JRA met the brief in providing a large communal space, catering facilities, spaces for wellbeing including a games room, conference rooms and departmental office areas for a range of teams, utilising fixed and hot desks. The designs embrace quirky references to home delivery such as domestic doors for meeting rooms, a pizza box mural and a highly visual timeline of the company’s history. This helped to create an interior that is related to, but distinct from, Pizza Hut’s Restaurant division. Working to a tight schedule, the project achieved practical completion within just four months. This was possible by engaging closely with users and a committee of interested parties to design the brief, workplace strategy and sign off on decisions.

JRA incorporated sustainable materials throughout the project, including FSC timber, zero VOC paint and recycled yarn carpets. This was in alignment with Pizza Hut’s sustainability aims for the project and built upon the existing building’s sustainability credentials of BREEAM Excellent. In 2016, the project was shortlisted in BCO Awards in the Workplace fit out category and has obtained high user satisfaction ratings.
