JRA Shortlisted for Interior Architect of the Year at the Building Design Architect of the Year Awards 2026

JRA has been named a finalist in the Building Design Architect of the Year Awards 2026, shortlisted in the Interior Architect of the Year category.

Our submission showcased two recently completed workplace retrofit projects, 60 Threadneedle Street, and 20 Gresham Street, which demonstrate our approach to transforming prominent City of London buildings into best-in-class office environments. We are delighted to be recognised for these projects, which reflect our commitment to thoughtful retrofit, and creating enduring workplaces that stand the test of time.

While each project has its own unique identity, both are underpinned by JRA’s belief that thoughtful, targeted interventions can be more valuable than an unnecessary overhaul. For both projects, JRA’s carefully considered interventions enhance the buildings without compromising their historic context. Celebrating the existing fabric of the building while reimagining the interior spaces, the projects introduce innovative architectural interventions, a carefully curated palette of durable, high-quality materials, and bespoke artistic collaborations. The result is two distinct hospitality-inspired workplaces that balance longevity, sustainability, and user experience, creating timeless interiors designed to adapt and endure.

The winners will be revealed at the prestigious AYA26 awards ceremony in October.
